Why Spend Your Marketing Budget on Email Marketing
Why Spend Your Marketing Budget on Email Marketing

In my last post I explained How to Get Started with Email Marketing in 3 Easy Steps. Now it’s time to back that up with WHY I believe you should be spending your marketing resources on email marketing in 2019. Yes, that’s right, I said 2019.

Need to generate leads? Use email marketing.

Need to nurture and engage your current customers? Use email marketing.

Need to recover all of those abandoned carts? You know what I’m about to say. Use email marketing.

Direct your focus to this important digital marketing activity, not because I say so (but, ahem, I am a 15 yr Marketing Veteran so that must count for something?), but because the DATA doesn’t lie!

This post from LYFE Marketing has 25 reasons. They include things like drive more conversions, most cost effective marketing tool, can be automated, drive traffic to your website, easy to measure, stay top of mind and so much more.

From BitBounce, here are some of those numbers you’re looking for:

General Email Marketing Statistics

So, are you convinced? If you haven’t started already, be sure to set a goal to implement ways to add email subscribers to your list. 3 Easy Steps to Get Started with Email Marketing

While there are a million ways to cook an egg, and set up your email marketing, we’re going to go scrambled for this one. If you are looking for an easy way to get started, follow along! But first, if you still need to understand why email marketing is a crucial piece of your business, skip over to my post: Why Spend Your Marketing Budget on Email Marketing in 2019

Here are 3 Easy Steps to Get Started with Email Marketing

Step One

Select a free version of an Email Marketing Service (EMS). For the purpose of sticking to our menu of scrambled eggs, I recommend MailChimp.

Sign up here.

I find it easy to use because it provides templates, marketing automation and let’s you use the platform for free up to 2000 subscribers.

Step Two

Create a list and build it.

If you already have an email list, great! If not, it’s time to start building one for your business

Build your list with MailChimps sign up forms and add them to your website or share the link on social media

Step Three

Deliver the goods.

In this case, we’re talking about sending emails to your list. Plan to deliver valuable content that keeps them hooked, instead of reaching for the Unsubscribe button.
